I made a double bed sized quilt for my daughter and her partner, they were very happy with it. But now she tells me that if he gets home from work first, she's likely to find him tucked up in it on the sofa! She provided photos to prove her point LOL
So she's asked me to make him a quilt for his own - she said "red and black dinosaur mum, think Jurassic Park" - and she'd like it by xmas/his birthday - just a few days apart!

So nothing fancy then, big 6inch squares of some great dino prints and maps, with narrow red and black borders to each square, that's the plan.
And the fabrics ready to go:

Isn’t it a lovely feeling when someone non family really loves what you make.

Life rather "happened" here for a bit, but back on track now, and the quilt top is pieced together.
The squares of fabric are fairly large at 6inches, but the prints are al so super, and I hope they will make him smile, so I didn't want to make them any smaller and lose their meaning - they are the heart of what the quilt is about after all.

Not the greatest light or space, but the finished top, and then the edge and backing fabrics laid on to give an idea of the end result  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  .
