See them here.

I've always had big bags, so am accidentally fashionable.  :D

Florals never go out of fashion and rose prints are not novel.

I don't know about the 'disco collar', but I love

the shape of the jacket.  The ties look silly, though.

I thought of the leather jacket pattern some of you have made (angled front zip?)

Hate orange. Big bags get much too heavy and strain my shoulder. Almost any standard size pair of trousers could be tied round my ankles and look just like that. A rope belt would make me look like a (big?) bag lady. I'm sure I already have a rain hat like that.

Actually if I wear nearly anything that is said to be this year's look, I will be just as invisible as I always am.

@Sewingsue I've attempted to sew leather it is not easy on a domestic machine.

@Greybird Orange is one of my fave colours, our front room has orange walls and sofas. Don't know if I'd wear it though  -<

I'm in there with the big bags and florals - quite a novelty to be fashionable!

I like the tangerine colour, but I could neither live with it nor wear it, so I shall just look for it on other people.

I like the jacket in @UttaRetch's post, but I can't help thinking that if it makes the model's hips look large (comparatively speaking - she looks great, but models don't tend to have noticeable hips) most of us don't stand a chance...
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Oh it does doesn't it. I was so mesmerised by those weird trousers I hadn't noticed.

My aim is not to stand out, so no fluorescent colours or silly hats for me.

Don't forget the model will be nearly 6ft tall, so I dread to think what a 5ft 5in lady with s 42 in hips would look like. ( Yes I'm talking about me).
A day without sewing is a day wasted.

I am the same height as you with a few more centimetres on the hips, but the jacket would be too long for me.  I sew to accommodate my wide hips and small waist and prefer the fitted look as I don't want to resemble a brick built out house.

Oh gosh! Two of those bags look like items from my stables!  One looks like a hay net  and the other looks like a 'tub trug' which I use for water!

Tangerine is a very difficult colour to wear.  Like the look of the leather but no doubt will be horrendously expensive.
I have learnt by my mistakes: Sewing machines now are Bernina 720, Bernina 1008, Bernina 801 from 1981, Brother overlocker, ancient but works well

I'm not sure if it's the jacket cut that is the problem. If those pants are cut that full all the way to the waistband, there could be a LOT of extra fabric padding her hips.

I think there is padding in the jacket, which I do not need.  Balenciaga did this a couple of seasons' ago.

That reminds me to make a couple more reversible bucket hats for the summer. Nice quick scrapsbusters :)
