@BrendaP and @Catllar

Yes the hosting went down yesterday ... no reason, maybe the weather ... but we are seriously considering moving to a new host when our renewal comes due.

We will let everyone know when we have concrete plans.

I have realized I have very little idea of how TSP works and have only a hazy idea of what the server/host  is/does!

Could someone spell it out in words of one syllable please?

The server is where all the files (that make the forum software work) and the database (which holds our posts and other information) live.

The webhost owns that server and looks after it.  The server is basically just a big computer, and holds lots of other websites too.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

It happened to me too last night.

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.
