Quick jersey top - Robin Rescue

Quick jersey top - Robin Rescue

A quick and easy top from a piece of cotton jersey that I got about a year ago to make up the amount for free postage.  Apologies to those who don't like wildlife on clothes and yes, I know I have beheaded a robin at the neck and I was so careful (or I thought I was) when I was cutting out.  It is from my much used (9 times now I think) Grainline Lark Tee pattern.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I LOVE it!!  It's the casual version of my garden birds top!   :loveit:

I know it's unlikely to be around any more, but can you remember where you got the fabric?
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Oh @Ploshkin , I love this!  Your fabric is gorgeous!

Love it @Ploshkin . Have never had wildlife on clothing - except the Guiness toucan. I have a piece of cotton jersey lurking for something like that but haven't got round to obtaining a suitable pattern.

@Acorn it was Stof and Stil over a year ago and I haven't seen it on there since.

@FloBear the Grainline Lark Tee was a paper pattern.  It has 4 neckline versions (I've always used the same one) and various sleeve lengths so is a very useful pattern if a bit pricy to start.

I love that fabric - and if a pattern for a classic garment such as a tee shirt fits you well it's worth its weight in gold.

What a neat neckline! Lovely tee shirt,  I like the print and the colours too.

Lovely top @Ploshkin !

I too love the neckline on the Grainline top, the band is the best fitting one I've ever made. I even transposed the neck on to my favourite other T shirt (Style Arc Alannah) which fits me better overall than the Grainline.

That's lovely @Ploshkin.  I bought the Grainline Lark pattern a couple of weeks ago and traced off the crew neck with long sleeves this week.  I will cut and sew up next week hopefully.

@coffeeandcake just a note about the long sleeves on the Lark T shirt. I found them to be very narrow compared to other long sleeved T shirts and they were much narrower at the top than short sleeved version.

Thank you for that info @Helen M. I 'm planning to do a toile anyway as I think I'll likely need an FBA so I'll check the sleeves as well.   :)
