Is your picture too large?
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

No, it's not even letting me upload an attachment.

@Acorn  "Post".

I thought it had got better as I was just able to upload a "test" message, albeit without an attachment

I get   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  when trying to upload an attachment.  In this case a 699kg jpeg.

But I got the same message again in this thread a moment ago, so  not just a problem with that thread i think.

That sounds as though there is something wrong with the image.  Is it .jpeg rather than .jpg?

677kb is a very large image - something like 2000x2000.  That said, I have just uploaded a 702kb jpg with no problem (although it was slow).  Could you try with a much smaller image please.

The file extension is.jpg.

I've taken it down to 323kg - that's not that big surely?  I thought the limit was a lot bigger.

and now it has worked.  Have absolutely no idea what I've done differently!

Need to go out shortly - will try and re-do my original post later.

Sorry @Acorn if I have been doing something stupid!

I'm just delighted it's working for you!  :D

There isn't an official limit, although I do wonder whether we should set one (it might make problems a bit clearer!) but large pictures put a heavier load on the system, and as pictures don't need to be any bigger than about 600 wide everything works better if they are not so big.
