You might want to monitor or sign up to Jaycotts.  I get regular alerts from SewDirect, but they only deal with the McCall Pattern Company and Simplicity is not one of its line.

It is the pattern companies that determine when sales are not retailers.  If it is one place it should be all over.

True, but you won't know about it unless you are a regular visitor to fabric shops or sign up to a webshop, such as SewDirect or the aforementioned Jaycotts.  Further, in my experience the companies are slow to let retailers know about sales.  I have seen online sales and when I go into my local fabric shop, they know nothing for a least a couple of weeks after the event has begun.

I have also been waiting for a simplicity sale, but can't remember there being one recently.  The other  pattern companies seem to do them more often.

Simplicity sales are quite regular.  My local fabric shop has at least four per year, but knowing about sales whether in bricks or online is the trick.  I subscribe to SewDirect as I only used to sew BMV (Butterick/McCall's/Vogue) patterns, but you can probably get sale alerts from SimplicityNewlook, which also includes the Burda imprint.

I posted about half-price Butterick (and KwikSew) here.  The Spring/Summer patterns are already out, so there may not be another sale until the Autumn/Winter lines.

Thanks for letting me know and sorry I missed your previous post. Hate it when I want a couple of patterns and just missed the half price offers! Will check in here a lot more often now
