This is McCalls 6886 https://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m6886
hacked to add a side slit with buttons. I was going to do buttonholes but my machine was playing up with these and I decided not to risk it. I went with suggestions from @Lachica to put in snaps instead with buttons on top. There is a slight wobble on this photo in the slit even though I put in fusible interfacing to stabilise it. I’m intending to try steaming it to see if that comes out also will try starch.
Stitching in Staffordshire with Style! (Well hopefully anyway)

Lovely! Knit dresses are great but always better for a detail of some sort, and the colour - a ray of sunshine on this dull day.

That's a great looking hack @Fabric Lover . M6886 was my very first garment make and I remember speculating on PatternReview that it could be the only pattern I'd ever need. Fat chance of that :) but it's still a magic pattern.

Many thanks all for your lovely comments. It’s the second time I’ve made it , first one was plain coral, I generally don’t go for solid fabrics, preferring patterns!
