Made this little guy for my friend’s new baby, using the Fluffmonger Plush Elephant Pattern.

I used a cuddle plush velour fabric for the elephant, with Liberty lawn and fleecy fabric for the blanket.

I made it up pretty much as the pattern, except I added Velcro to the arms (rather than stitching them together) and crinkly fabric in the ears. Very happy with him.  :D

Oops title should be Fluffmonger Elephant. Silly autocorrect. I don’t think I can edit it now!

Dunno what she's talking about.  Looks like Fluffmonger Elephant to me...  ;)

(Although I did quite like Fluffy over Elephant.  Autocorrect can be quite imaginative.  :P )

He is gorgeous.   :)
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I wondered what a Fluffmonger Elephant was ...

You do NOT want to know in which direction my thoughts turned but the word fluff was definitely in there ... hahahhaha  0_0

I think she/he is gorgeous ... I wish I could make stuff like that.

Very nice! I'm not sure about Velcro for a baby though?

Thanks! Velcro is fine for babies, especially if you use the 'soft and gentle' or 'soft and flexible' type (like I did here). The most important thing is that it is sewn on securely - some types are sticky and the glue is not strong enough to mitigate any removal and subsequent choking risk. (Can you tell I work in product safety?!  0_0)

Thank you! I'd never heard of soft and gentle Velcro. I was picturing the hard scratchy standard sort. I shall have to look that one out.

@charlotte Can I ask where you bought the soft Velcro?  Last time I looked, I drew a blank. Someone brought me some from America, but it turned out to be the usual scratchy sort.
Yarn down:  1000g
Fabric down:  29m

I got mine from Hobby Craft but I think I saw it on Amazon as well. It is anti-snag or something like that. It is just continuous tape that sticks to itself. I cut mine into little circles.
