@BrendaP  what a brilliant match of the blues, it looks perfect. I think the bolero makes it.

I worked on a couple of patterns for this today.  Hope to finish adjustments tomorrow, cut
by  the weekend. It was 80 F, 26.7 C today. My cutting table is on the front porch. I indulge in alfresco pattern and fabric prep.  :)

I am kicking myself. I had half thought I would enter my recent blue jacket in this as I have plans for some things to go with it. Trouble is I can't remember what date I started it! I know I cut it on the 4th - at sewing group -  but what date I started sewing it is lost to me. Could have been the 10th but equally well could have been 8th or 9th.  Unless we have people coming I often don't know whether it's a weekend or not! Oh well.

@Greybird I'm quite certain it was the 10th.   :toast:  I went into your post history. You mentioned the fabric on the 4th but no mention of sewing until the 11th.

Since we didn't know until the 1st that we'd start officially on the 10th I bet that Manuela will allow for your fuzzy memory on this. It's ok with me and I imagine the other participants as well if the jacket is allowed. It's not like it was an evil scheme you cooked up.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

@Greybird Manuela said in the rules that we could use 1 previously completed garment so I am sure it will be ok!

I am wondering if I can include the musical shirt in my 6PAC. I posted the photo on my blog on Thursday 13th Feb, but had already worn it to the choir meal on Monday 10th Feb, and recall that I finished it on that day. So its neither completely previously made nor fully sewn in the timeframe, do you think I could have it as the previously made item?

Since then I've sewn some plain black Bengaline trousers, but then went on holiday (where I wore them lots) but haven't yet photographed them. They can definitely go in.

@SewRuthieSews I would guess that your shirt falls into the “previously made” category since you made it mostly before 10th, the start date, while your trousers, as you say, fully qualify for entry. But obviously Manuela has the final say.

@SewRuthieSews , @Manuela might not see your question about using the shirt. She is swamped right now. If  I want someone's attention here I include the @ with their name so it waves at them when they come visit.

This probably caught her eye.  :loveit:

@SewRuthieSews of course you can enter the musical shirt in the contest. As @Renegade Sewist said, I am absolutely swamped, so best to tag me if you want or need an answer.

@Manuela, great thanks. The musical shirt will be my previously made item then.

Well I’ve not done any sewing for quite some time but I’m posting here to signal my intent to complete this 6pac contest!
Not quite sure what it will look like yet, other than a Chanel jacket using a piece of black & silver wool I bought on sale for a steal. I’m also hoping to crack the code on a pair of well fitting pants so maybe I can make that happen too.
I need a few more simple tops for work and have plenty of fabric so hoping the whole wardrobe will come entirely from stash.

I've made three items so far, two from one set and one from the other. As soon as I finish all the things for the sewing for others contest, I'll make the cardigan from the 1st set.

Ok, here’s my (tentative) capsules. Specifically for work attire as I’m really needing more work clothes! And bonus... all stash fabrics so I can participate in the stash busting challenge too!

Black & silver tweed Chanel/French jacket in Burda 6465
Vogue 1387 in a lovely cream & grey silk print charmeuse
Simplicity 8749 in black pinstripe stretch suiting

This burdastyle blouse in mint green silk crepe de chine. Not 100% sure on this one yet, love the look of the pattern but not sure the crepe de chine will be right for it. May change my mind.
And 2 pencil skirts in my tnt Kwik sew pattern;
1 in a piece of Marc Jacobs grey pinstripe wool suiting
And 1 in a dark colour way animal print drill. Not 100% sold on this last one yet. If the above trousers workout I’ll swap it out for another pair of those.
