Love those colours - sea and sand!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I probably should have spent the afternoon making July's blocks (or June's), but I decided on a bit of big stitch quilting.

Yes, by hand.   I was going to use this as an opportunity to improve my fmq  skills but... nah.  I'm going to do some more today if I  can find my template plastic.

Have quilted my log cabin today.  :)
Though about extending the block, as suggested, then couldn't decide what colours I'd use, so I've filled the empty space with stitchy bits.

Daughter gave her approval when she saw it, which was a pleasant surprise.

That looks great.  That's exactly what I'm planning to do on my seabirds quilt, which has plain dark blue sashing.  Did you use a template?

Thank you.  :) Yes I did.
I measured the space I needed to fill and scribbled a wiggly shape  :S onto paper. Copied it through the printer, pinned it on, crossed my fingers, held my breath, and stitched.

TA DAAAAHHHH!

Stitchy bits.

Finally got my log cabin quilted. It took ages to decide what to quilt on it so got the rulers out and pressed on.  0_0
