This top is the SA Adeline Dress shortened into top length and with the neckline changed from a V to round.

I cut out the shoulder/sleeve then stitched it in with the checks running a different way. I also made two front pieces in order to change the neckline at the back. I used up the last of my brushed cotton, and bound the edges in the last piece of some cotton lawn.

I will make it again, maybe a stripe would be effective, or contrasting prints?

Lovely job.
I think contrasting prints would be fun.

I like that too, it must look lovely when worn, the square sleeves would enhance the bust area  :)
