I've made a start on two quilts for my spare room. I've chosen a very simple block as there will be millions of them so the pieces are straightforward but OMG the cutting! Squillions of pieces and every time I think I've finished....there's more.
The first time I'd finished I remembered that I needed two coloured bits per block and not one so I had to cut the same again. The second time I finished it occurred to me that I had only done enough for one quilt so I have even more of the same to do again!
Then there's the background. Many many variations of black and white... Some will have more bits than others but my ocd
demands that they are would like them distributed evenly across both quilts.
I haven't even come to the randomisation part of colours versus B&W.
How do you do it? Do you do all the cutting first? Do you cut a bit and sew a bit? Do you lay the whole thing out on the
floor/bed/design board?!?!??!
Life was simpler when I thought less.
