The navy one will be fab too @Manuela . I have that McCalls pattern and have even cut it out but of course it's currently in the UFO pile. I need to dig it out!

The navy lace arrived and I rummaged through my denim drawer, not one single piece of denim is suitable, either too light or a different shade of blue @Acorn. I did find some cotton broadcloth in exactly the right shade though, as well as some delicious navy crepe backed silk satin to line it with - the smooth side on the skin methinks.
Work is getting in the way this week though, hope to cut it at the weekend. This time Hong Kong finished seams...

Absolutely gorgeous lace and the pink dress is totally stunning. We never see lace like that in England any more

Maybe not where you live but in London and elsewhere, there are shops that sell a lot of this lace to the Nigerian community for special occasion wear.

Dress #2 in the making. I played with a collar and didn’t like it. For me it’s either no collar and chunky earrings or necklace, or a proper big collar...

Lovely @Manuela.  I love the style too, so simple.  Doesn’t need anything else with all the lace.

The second lace dress is finished, the silk lining feels very luxurious and the style is very comfortable to wear.

Absolutely fab @Manuela !  It's a beautiful dress, and will make a useful addition to your wardrobe, when Plan B is complete - maybe for the opening night?
