Hey

I’ve been given a Frister and Rossmann - she’s white (well cream) and a handcrank. She sews ok.

I can’t find any serial number on her at all, and so can’t identify the model/age etc in order to get a manual!
Can anyone help please?

Thanks x

Hi,
Any chance of a picture? I think I know which one you mean but a picture would really help!

Thank you!

Hi @Roger

I’m not a subscriber so I can’t post pics (I think)...

On a google search of Frister and Rossmann handcrank it brings up a pic of one on Etsy (£345 hahaha  :S )

Thanks for replying

@Sewbee YES!!!!! Yes that’s it! Mine hasn’t got the measurements along the front edge of the case base tho, and I’ve not got extra feet, but that’s the one

So I’ve found the serial number - 868332 - and the badge says O Quitmann, Old Street.

I’m thinking this is post-WW2 but I can’t find a definitive year. All I can find about the model is that it’s a vibrating shuttle machine.

Does anyone have any further ideas/info/links?

Thanks for looking xx

There's a bit about F&R sewing machines and possible dates in the links below.
