The background was a filler stitch - you can echo stitch, pattern stitch, stipple or grid stitch around the object.

I hate to sound a numpty but when 'shoe' was mentioned I looked and tried my hardest to make the picture bigger so I could find out where they were sold.  So disappointed when it finally decided to enlarge.  Pretty though.
Stash extension 2024- 6.1 meters
Left at the end of 2023 - 66 meters now (includes fabric found hidden out of sight)  Lining fabric not included
