Before Christmas, I made a Burda magazine top with a nice bow feature at the back. In the March 2020 issue, Burda have re-worked the idea into a day wear top. I really liked the original so wanted to add this one to my wardrobe. I've used a slightly different fabric. It's more of a fine jumper knit than a t-shirt knit, in that it's fluffier and spongier, if you know what I mean. It's still fine, though, and I've been wanting to move it from stash to wardrobe for a while.
The top is quite straight forward with no real difficulty, it looks much harder than it is. The front is meant to be finished with a binding strip but this would have been too bulky on my fabric so I swapped it for a facing. Likewise, I topstitched the neck edge of the back yoke as directed but then took it out as it didn't look good on this fabric.
As usual, my phone has morphed the colour. It's actually somewhere between turquoise and teal - much richer than the pale blue it appears to be.
I'm pleased with the top and shall make another in some soft cream viscose jersey.
