I’m making this top in View B:  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I’m unsure about keeping the sleeves as it’s a very large print and it might overwhelm me. Leaving the sleeves off might tone it down a little. What do you think?  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I like the fabric and don't think the sleeve looks too much with the bodice. Is it cotton or something warmer? If warmer fabric, would it be suitable for a sleeveless style?

I don't think it needs toning down. I think the long sleeves will be lovely. It is a big print but the colours are fairly similar in tonal value.

The fabric is a sort of polyester crepe and it isn’t too heavy for a sleepless top. But I think will put the other sleeve on and finish it then see how I feel about it. I could always take off the sleeves at a later date if I tho that would be better.

Great top @Fabric Lover . I love that print. I would definitely keep the sleeves.

I think it's a great top, gorgeous fabric and definitely keep the sleeves. That pattern is a great favourite with Lori of Girls In the Garden blog. Here are a few of her makes http://www.girlsinthegarden.net/search/label/Butterick%206378. Yours is definitely up there - would love to see it on you when it's finished!

Long sleeves for me, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks to all for your lovely comments. I have done the sleeves and finished the collar and tie, a couple of nights ago in fact. Just the hem to do, trouble is my mojo for getting it done has disappeared as opportunities for wearing it are non-existent. Ok- I’ll do it later and post a photograph!

Finally done the hem now so relieved that I can hang it in the wardrobe for wearing some time in the future! Photo tomorrow.
