Yes, I was surprised too! The pattern has an optional sleeve head but that is it. I was pleased with how my quilt batting solution turned out. I probably could have ordered something better, but I am trying to avoid 'unnecessary' purchases at the moment! The pleat was very easy to do - just tapering out as the centre back flares for the skirt - but I probably would not have thought to cut it on if I wasn't already adding a back facing, and would then have realised when I got to that point in the construction.

I finished my coat! (This is more exciting than usual because it means I can start on my wedding dress!!)


I took advantage of the lovely warm Easter weekend weather to put on said heavy winter coat and get some pictures in the garden...







I had enough faux fur left for headband/earwarmer, but I think it is a bit too much so I'm not sure I'll ever actually wear the full combo in real life!
