Today I cut this dress out from the pretty Pamplona floral cotton lawn, it took some time but I am back in the sewing world :)  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  
This version has a full skirt with unpressed pleats so lots of marking (tailor tacks)  to be done. I ached for a while afterwards but felt better after filling up with couscous and lots of vegetables. Just had a little snooze. More sewing tomorrow I hope.

Nice style, looking forward to hearing about your progress.

The unpressed pleats are reminiscent of Vogue 9267  which was one I was considering for my mother-of-the-groom dress for August.  It probably won't be needed until later now though.

I have that pattern Silver Rose, came with a sewing mag a while back. I dont really wear dresses  but I'm drawn to this one. I found some useful tips on Sewing Pattern Review - i look forward to seeing your version!

I made view C (the fitted version) last autumn in a very bright cerise pink jersey and was pleased with it, I do love princess seams.

Spent ages pinning the pleats in this morning so no more today. I am not going to line the bodice as per the pattern so I'll cut out facings for the front and back neckline also I'll have to rummage about for a suitable zip.

Making slow progress, not able to post recently as the broadband keeps going off. Next job is to join bodice and skirt together, haven't got suitable zip so I'll be stuck for a while. I need to order more fabric and some habby stuff.

I got the zip in and the sleeves hemmed and ready to go in and the fit is good. I'm having a lie down now as I am hurting a bit. Maybe carry on tomorrow
