Ideas wanted please.

While I don't have a proper stash, I do have a variety of batik fat quarters.
They are all colours but iirc blues, purples and fairly dark mixed are quite prominent although there are all sorts. As they are fqs the pattern would have to be one which doesn't need oodles of one fabric.
Any ideas of patterns please? Either blocks or an integrated pattern.
I need ideas...asap as I'd like to start when my latest quilt is bound.
Thanks <3

I just did a small lone star, which will become the centre of a lap quilt. It is a fun pattern to piece and a bit more challenging, at least for me.
If you see me with a seam ripper, now is not a good time

Do you do pinterest, @Lowena ?  I only have 771 ideas on my patchwork board so I'll never be on here asking for ideas of what to do next!

If you have some background fabric, how about a ribbon friendship star quilt?

OH yes @Pearl I'd forgotten about Pinterest.I have loads on there  :|
I just wondered if anyone had a favourite block or pattern particularly suited to batiks......I'm rubbish at visualising.
I'm hoping not to need a lot of background fabric.
Perhaps I should consider redoing the BOMs in batiks :D...not really as what would happen to the ones I have done????

How about the mystery quilt that Iminei has just made?

I think batiks tend to look good in any design with a lot of pale background (or dark if they're very bright and zingy).

There is a website selling quilting patterns that I often browse for inspiration, but I can't find it.   -<

I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

The main thing with mixing fabrics is getting the lights and darks right.

Sort you FQs and pick out all the dark/bright/strong colours.  Then either lots of very pale/pastel fabrics or a bigger piece of white or cream.

@Pearl 's  lovely quilt is made that way.  Darks for the stars and white for the pieces which make the 'ribbons'.

Love that - could be done in pale or red or as the picture in lovely rich purpley colours
