Does anyone know the best way to wash excess dye out of a fabric?
I washed some fabric through in luke-warm water and a great deal of navy dye has come out.
I've then soaked it in cold water and hung it to drip dry, but more dye is coming out.
Any ideas how many more rinses it would take for the dye to stop running?

It is as many rinses as it takes- otherwise it rubs off against what else you are wearing, sitting on, or washing with it.

@jintie is right. Unfortunately, there is no shortcut for this.

Remember to use colour catchers in every wash too.

Unless you have a little bottle of Retayne in the cupboard. It's a fixative for commercially dyed fabric. In lieu of that sometimes 1/4 cup salt and 1 cup of white vinegar in a gallon of water and a 24 hour soak will improve the color loss.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.
