I repaired a coverlet/bedspread mostly made of hexagons a few weeks ago. There was no wadding/batting, the backing fabric had been bought over to the front with mitre corners. It was truly beautiful. I wrote a little bit about this on the Felt and Fibre studio October post. I have added a link for you to see it if you wish.

My biggest bargain ever was probably a hexagon quilt I bought from a car boot fair for £1.50, back in 1988, as a student. I had to repair a lot of stitching and it wasn't quilted, just basted (in rough basting thread, so I removed those Stitches) but it has had a place in every home I've had, ever since.

Currently hanging over an arm of my long sofa.

Nowhere near as many hexagons as that one, mind!

Not actually a QoM, but a featured item from the Quilters Guild collection
