I'll sit back and wait until the format is decided by you clever people who know of what you are talking, but I'll  happily give it a go .

Anyone seen @Iminei?

I asked the same yesterday, perhaps she's busy busy busy with all the Darkside stuff.

Beautiful here today - looks and feels like summer - had to put some shade over the young veggies, although we are expecting the cold to come back again next week.

Today I've been scrubbing the pool edges to remove the winter algae - backbreaking but very rewarding. It almost felt warm enough to go in - only almost though.  Then I gave the pittosporums a hair cut as it was almost impossible to get past them and stay on the terrace.

Man finished relaying the drive yesterday and MrC is now watering it again as instructed. Can't personally see the surface turning rock hard as promised, but at least it now has no potholes or diesel oil spills.

So 2.90€ for the needles plus 6.90@ for delivery? They are joking!! No way I'm paying that much for delivery. I am stymied at each turn. I WILL have my needles one way or another!  When did it become so hard to buy needles?

Went to Perpignan again  to the sewing shop to have attempt number two to buy needles. Arrived at about 3pm. Shop shut. Only open from 10 -12 at the moment.  Going to have to be internet.

I'm in too.

OK, so I'm going in!  I found a little freebie from and I'm using triadic colours. red blue yellow. Pictures to follow.

The work's all fairly straightforward from the Dry Cleaner. A couple of jobs I might have to send back needing further instruction.

@Gernella The wedding dress shop job was offering £9 an hour  :\ and there was a quite a long list of requirements/abilities. It was unclear if it was for a part time or full time position. I wouldn't want to be solely responsible for all of the sewing work. Wedding season would be horribly busy if you're working on your own.
I could imagine feeling under-appreciated and put-upon.

Bloody cheek I don't know what it is in England but that's well under minimum wage here - my local seamstress charges 25€ an hour ( I enquired out of interest) and she's always busy.

Where's @Iminei ? All OK I hope - perhaps she's lurking somewhere or still in bed?

Up at sparrow fart as we're having our drive relaid today and were expecting the man wot duz
to be here early. He arrived at 11.15, but in his defence m'lid, he had a machine breakdown and was very good at keeping us in the loop.  Just before he arrived we were sitting on the terrace listening to couple of nightingales doing a sing-off. Now they've gone - all the scraping (nails on a blackboard)  and bashing has scared away everything.

Surely I'm not the first one up today ?  Anyway, sunny and calm so I've been watering  the babies, and now I'm going shopping. This afternoon we have an appointment with MrC's internal medicine specialist and hopefully there will be some news for us ( good preferably)

So sunny but a bit breezy today. I repotted some baby tomato plants that have stagnated and sowed some flower seeds in the veg patch for pollinators.

Pool boys came this morning, got it all opened up, pump going and cleaned out, heating on too. Nowhere near warm enough yet  but it looks so much nicer than with the winter cover in place - now we have some blue and sparkly ( well it will be in a day or so!)

We shall be visiting the rubbish dump this afternoon for a cathartic trailer emptying session and then to the bio-coop to get nuts and stuff for more muesli mix.  Made some raspberry jam too. And we fixed the leak in one of our water storage containers.

Made a beef bourg for lunch but I didn't have any.

Loving Plushie's Convergence quilt!

Just a bit of random uselessness: to remember the difference between warp and weft - weft goes across from Weft to Right.

@RJR_38 and @realale . Thanks for the info. We have had nightshades out of his diet for the past 18 months and it really made no difference. Then the gastro man said he was not allergic to them anyway so we started bringing potatoes back once a week. I don't think he is "allergic" as he'd react pretty quickly - it seems to be about 24hrs after that he gets the problem. Sigh.

@MitchOfTheNorth  never heard of that one - off to investigate and we're going to see his internal medicine man tomorrow so this could be relevant - thanks!

@realale   could I ask what symptoms you get ( if they are fit for family viewing, of course!)
