Minerva crafts, calicolaine, macculloch and wallis (?spelling) or ebay, just off the top of my head. Might not do the exact style but they all do black ones. Or you could make your own, there are plenty of tutorials on the web.

I like the look of this and more importantly it was the right size at 17cms long
Hopefully it will arrive shortly, I can sew it on my jacket ...
Q: How would you Girls attach it ... The last one took some time to unpick off the coat as I had sloppily machined it on with no skill or thought at all (this was in Dec/January 95) I would like to do a more professional job this time round ... after that the coat will be ready for the next 25 years!!!

That's definitely not black but I don't think they look cheap. If they were a true black they would look so much better.

Assuming the item was described as black, let the vendor know they sent the wrong colour. I certainly wouldn't let them keep my money for something I can't use.

I agree that they don't look cheap, but they definitely aren't black! Stuff from Amazon should be easy enough to send back.

I'm saddened to learned that Kleins has closed (https://london.randomness.org.uk/wiki.cgi?Kleins%2C_Soho). It doesn't even seem to have an online presence. :o

That’s a shame about Kleins. I didn’t use them often but they had stuff online you couldn’t get easily elsewhere.
@Iminei did you try phoning Stone Fabrics? I’ve always found them very fast.

I occasionally went to Kleins' Soho shop and never needed to shop online. That there is no longer even an online presence suggests that the owner has called it a day and was not just driven out of retailing by high rents and business rates.

I did try calling Brenda original supplier but they seemed to be permanently engaged and as that was the only way to order a no go.
I think I will be sending them back as they are much bigger than I want (despite being advertised as 17 cm ... they are 20+)
I think they look cheap I'm afraid, very plasticky!

If they are bigger than advertised and grey ratehr than black that's two reasons why they should go back. Hmmmm.

You definitely did not get what you ordered @Iminei. Send them back and get a refund.
