I bought the orange and white stripe top for Lilya when I was shopping, and when I came to need a top to go with the Burda skirt, I decided to have a go at a 'rub off' (hope that's what they call it).
It took a little more than 2hrs, maybe 21/2, but that didn't sound as snappy. It was such an easy make!
I cut the front out with a gap for the insert, and the back is just a straight strip, gathered with elastic. The insert was a very small piece of a very small remnant piece which I lined with the cotton lawn. Gathered the front edge, added the insert. Job done. The rest was very straightforward, just seams, o/locked edges and turned up on the machine.
Well pleased.
Now to get the phone to talk to the PC, to upload the pics - it may take some time!
