Title: Insurance
Post by: Kwaaked on February 07, 2019, 07:15:17 AM
This has come up several times this week with clients asking if I have insurance.  I do, but do you guys post it in the contract form?  Or just tell them you carry it if they ask?

I do have insurance, but I've never been asked about it, nor do I tell clients I have it. I would, were I asked, but it's just never come up.

Thanks.  First time it's really came up has been this bridal season.  Not sure if it's something David's Bridal is using against the independents right now to get them to use their alteration service (as in, are you sure?  We have insurance do they...) or if I am getting some very young brides whose Mothers/step moms are concerned since I know at least one doesn't have a policy and I live in an area where while we aren't poor, 500+ for a dress isn't just something most just drop and don't blink about it (and I know at least one doesn't carry insurance specifically for the trade just for renting the space, and another not at all).
