The US site is all sorts of annoying. They've only just started to tag the PDFs by year and/or magazine issue, going back to 2010!!!

$5.99 is the regular price, but they sometimes have sales. I have a few freebies, need to check if they offer a single pattern or options. BRB!

I personally prefer the DE site because even the sleeve/envelop patterns are available as PDFs. Sooo jealous! I can't buy them but maybe you can?

When I was a kid, broderie anglaise, cotton seersucker and cotton lawn were the fabrics used to make my clothing. I was never dresses in synthetics or knits, except for t-shirts. I'm not of the leggings generation...

any news on the top? I want to make a striped top of my own but I don't seem to have even 1cm or more stripes in the stash...

Curious how the neckline went.

I saw this & I thought you may be interested! / Re: Wedding dress..

it being bad luck for the groom to see the dress before the day?

This belief doesn't exist in my country. So, is it scary or something? What's the rationale being this? After all, aren't women supposed to be at their most beautiful on their wedding day?

Patterns Discussion / Re: Mutton Dressed??

There's a difference between dressing to flatter one's parts though and dressing because one is of a certain age and only that.

My understanding of that phrase, and what I feel is illustrated by the anecdote I told, is that if you are dressing for the body you remember having and not the one you actually have now, then it's anachronistic.

Today, I would not wear bangs, oversized neon t-shirts and stripped short because that's what I wore as a teenager in the 90s.

I would wear more contemporary, grown-up versions of these things, after all, a t-shirt and shorts can't really go out of fashion, can it?

I don't believe in the concept of "mutton dressed as lamb".

I'm afraid I do believe in it! My aunt had a...excentric friend who was opening a night club (a whole nother story!) and I am traumatized by this 50yo woman wearing a mini zebra print dress with a back mesh cutout. She had an Apple shape, flat butt and droopy breasts. Former/current Party Girl. +Good legs, though. But the rest was too short and too tight.

It's donkeys years old, and I remember making it first time around!

I wouldn't cuff them and maybe go full-length to update the style but keep the tank top/vest bodice.

I'm hardly ever on FB so was not aware of this pattern's popularity.

That said, if you are going to wear this much fabric on your bottom half, might as well go for a maxi dress!
