I was going to suggest Pilot Frixion Pens. I've recently started using these and like them a lot.

The line goes away with heat. I normally iron them, but from what you've said that's not going to work for you.
The lines do also rub out with a pencil eraser (the friction of the eraser being used generates just enough local heat to remove the line).
I wonder if a hairdryer would make enough heat? Off to conduct an experiment.

I did finish my palm tree wrap top thingy but although it fits it is not in the least bit flattering on me, so that'll be off to a new home at some point. I could make some alterations to it, but the fabric doesn't suit me anyway so I don't think its worth it.

So today I've been rearranging things in the sewing room so I can put another machine in the cupboard, use an electrical socket that was blocked in, access Burda magazines and etc etc. I can also now reach my guitar/music and my drawing board/large paper which also live in here.

Not quite got to the point where it is better than when I started,but not far off, after that need to decide what to do next. Currently leaning towards doing the next steps on my Mystery quilt as the video came out today.
After a garment wadder experience, quilting is safe!

I had some white jersey fabric printed with black outlines of palm trees. Actually I like a bit of colour in my tops so the fabric languished in the stash. At the weekend I hand coloured all the palm trees in green with a Dylon fabric marker after which I completely lost interest as it took so long.
I also wanted to try a new pattern which needed some alterations which I've also attempted
So now I am going to try cutting the pattern out.....

Hiya folks how are the Home sewing projects going?

I shortened some curtains for the living room, they look good but its not really a make is it.
I have quite a few things planned but my list is getting longer and longer.....

My lovely sewing friend shared this with me and I'd like to have a go
Fabric storage basket (no interfacing)

I also want to make some cushions from the curtain offcuts, some cushions for the bench in the hall and recover the cushion on the sewing room chair. I've also got a partly done office chair recover (nightmare don't ask)....

Today I've finally cut out the last of the pieces for the SewVeryEasy Scrappy Sunshine quilt. Though as mine uses a soft teal blue instead of the yellow it might not look very sunshiney.
My next step will be to sew the March components and then I'll actually be up to date with the videos on you tube, perhaps before the April video which is due on 9th April.
As we are making components I don't have anything to share at the moment, other than an un exiting pile of 4 patches and lots of cuts pieces in labelled envelopes.

Sew Ruthie Sews' entry #1 Sewing Machine Covers
Soft covers for the machines which I most commonly leave out on my sewing table, though I wouldn't have all 4 out at once.
The covers are made from an old curtain, I then stitched on embroidered name patches so I know which cover goes on which machine (they are roughly shaped to fit). I did the lettering on my Janome Memory Craft 200E embroidery machine. (I didn't make a cover for this one as it normally lives in the cupboard and just comes out for embroidery projects.)

I coverhem my sleeves flat, then insert the sleeve, then sew up the sleeve seam and overlock it. I then thread the ends back into the seam with a large hand sewing needle. If you like you can machine tack the seam down (as per RTW tees).
This changes the construction order but is much easier than fiddling inside the sleeve :-)

Wow @Stitches that's a wonderful machine!

I've not been sewing but am matching old magazine sewing patterns (me, Essentials, Prima) back with the sheet with the picture, and planning to donate most of them.
(I had the page with the picture in a plastic sleeve in a folder and the pattern and instructions in a large brown envelope labelled with the number/month or whatever. This was how I stored my pattern in the late 1990s onwards. About 10 years ago I took a lot of the big 4 patterns out of the system, but never quite got around to the folders of magazine patterns!)

Love Notions have launched a pull on jeans pattern called the Crescendo jeans, which has 4 different leg shapes (flare, bootcut, skinny, straight). As its a new pattern its on at a reduced price which ends today. $9.50

I don't think they are different enough for me from the Itch To Stitch Mountain View Pull On Jeans which I already own, but if you don't have the MVs and you fancy a pull on jean maybe this would be good.
