Title: What to do with old CDs
Post by: Efemera on October 20, 2020, 15:27:05 PM
Make coasters...pictures are self explanatory, used up bits of wadding.
The binding strips are 18” long, cut at 45 degrees and joined with. 1/4” seam.
Use a zipper foot to get really near the CD.
I used spray baste  :faints:

That is such a good idea. Nice sturdy coaster.  You could do some novelty print theme.  Like cats, various holiday themes, etc.

There was an episode of George Clarkes Amazing Spaces where someone clad an entire caravan with overlapping CDs to look like fish scales.

Our neighbour hangs them from his trees to act as bird scarers. But I like the coasters better ;) xx
