I really thought you were going to say that your husband wanted a welding mask but couldn't get one... so you sewed him one...  :o

I’ve not going that far but at the moment anything that keeps him outside or in his workshop is good in my book. So if I have to sew a welding mask I’m sure there will be a  YouTube video somewhere.

Ooh I like those blues!

I found delivery from Aldi very good.

My husband wanted a welding mask similar to the one his friend got but of course they weren’t in stock in the store. I looked on the website and there they were along with lots of other things that only appear in the shops once every six months or so.

Free postage for over £25 and they appeared in just a couple of days 0_0

Right, who is going to fess up exactly how much they have stashed away?

That would take far too long to count.  :D

I won’t take on sewing jobs for other people unless I love them enough to do it for nothing.

If you charged a fair rate very few people would pay it, as people don’t normally realise the work involved. I understand your sister doesn’t want to ask you to make something for nothing but can’t you think of a trade off rather than a cash price.

Mind you I do have a dear friend who asked me to shorten some curtains, a job I hate.  It didn’t take me long and she rocked up with a litre bottle of Gordon’s so everybody was happy.

D for me

@Gernella DH has one of these in his workshop and it awesome, unfortunately I don’t want to sew in there.

Our son bought it for him after he saw his dad struggling with the crappy light he had. DH has no idea how much it cost or the silly old b****r would never switch it on

Well that was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

Block of the Month 2020 / Re: May's BOM

Lots of judicious tweaking required but at least finished in the correct month.

Thanks @Vezelay , I never thought of Empress. Two cans on their way :D

Has anyone used the Crafters Companion spray adhesive?

I've just looked for 505 and I can't get it with my Cotton patch order so looked on Amazon and eBay and it was eye wateringly expensive. >:)

I tried them @Sheilago and was very impressed.

I bought some super king sized sheets with a low thread count and they will be absolutely fine for quilt backs.

I was also very impressed with the speed of delivery especially in these times.

I’m certain I’ll be shopping there again.

@Pearl , I’m really enjoying playing with the rulers  at the moment.

It’s very addictive.

This is an early practice piece, my stitch length is improving the more I do.

Beautiful beautiful work. The effort needed to produce that lace is mind boggling.

Well done.
