Has anyone tried any of the Pearl Red Moon/Boho Banjo patterns? On Etsy here (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/pearlredmoon?section_id=16559453)
and the blog (http://www.pearlredmoon.com) which has some fabulous stuff on it.
I like lagenlook styles and some of these look interesting. I like the look of the Pheenie dress. They are in pdf form of course and most are about £14.40 or so on Etsy. I only see one Boho Banjo review on pattern review although there are some positive reviews on their Etsy site. I'm somewhat wary of indie companies but I wondered if anyone had experience of this one.

I’ve seen them but not used them, some very interesting styles. Have you looked on Pinterest, there might be some bloggers who have made them.

interesting...I'm scared of the loophole dress though, can't imagine why :S

There are one or two photos sculling about apart from the designer's own photos. I might just give this one a go and report back in due course.
@DementedFairy I hope this isn't a reminder of subtraction and disappearance into the wormholes of the space-time continuum.

Well I've bought my pattern - was a bit difficult to open on a Mac - had to download a new version of Acrobat then open another pdf first before opening the pdf of the pattern. The file might be a bit big for my printer to cope with!

Interesting patterns, look forward to seeing how you get on.

Thankyou for posting this; I've not heard of Pearl Red Moon before but there's a lot of inspiration on her blogs.
None of the patterns grab me. I'm not keen on the oversized 'fits where it touches' look, I prefer somehting a bit more structured, but I do like the multi fabric designs. Only this morning I was perusing Joe Browns (https://www.joebrowns.co.uk/pu+womens-clothing+wc-+1?contenta=MenuWC) websiite for ideas and had a look through the stash to see what migh, or might not, go together so this was just what I wanted. 0_0
It seems to me that there are several aproaches:
1, Start with a base garment (like her butcher's coats) and applique all sorts of other fabrics onto it.
2, Use a pattern with a million pieces - ie the Aurana top (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/546081987/aurana-top-pdf-sewing-pattern?ref=shop_home_active_12) and fit them all together like a jig-saw puzzle.
3, Use a TNT pattern which you know fits and make up pieces of patchwork big enough for each pattern piece and then make up the garment in the usual way. Patchwork Polly (http://www.pearlredmoon.com/search?updated-max=2015-12-10T09:40:00%2B11:00&max-results=10&start=50&by-date=false) is her example of this (bottom of that page)
4, Aplique onto a plain garment as in Theodora (http://www.pearlredmoon.com/search?updated-max=2018-01-06T09:47:00%2B11:00&max-results=10) about half way down the page
I have tried the third method a couple of times; my skirt in the "look what I've done with my scraps" competition a few weeks ago and a jacket made from old jeans.

Not the least of which is that odd sign.
Lagenlook is not for me, although some of it might be wearable in a dark, solid colours.

Some good ideas there @BrendaP . You are right - lagenlook doesn't appeal to everyone. Generally I like the asymmetrical look but it must fit well across the shoulders and neckline. The idea of taking a TNT pattern and piecing it can work very well.
Drat I've just noticed there was a link on her shopify site which would have given me the same pattern I downloaded somewhat cheaper than the Etsy shop (now why didn't I note that when I looked there earlier? - sigh!)

I particularly like the Zambeesi jacket that is on her blog but not yet available.
I have to confess that I have a picture of @BrendaP's jacket in my ideas file, a Bootstrap pattern just waiting for me to adapt it, and a heap of interesting pieces of fabric (most of them still in other garments).

I"ve used a couple and Pearl herself is a delight. We've corresponded a bit in the past. There are some reviews and discussion online. OH is kicking me off the 'puter now-greedy boy- but I'll try to hunt down info for you later.

I love the look but it swamps me and makes me look bigger.. I have to have a more fitted bodice.

Never heard of Pearl Red Moon before, but love that floral Pheenie dress, and enjoyed looking at her blog, thanks.
