I didn't intend to share my pics or I'd have taken more and paid better attention to what they are.  As it is, I seem to have a disparate selection.

There were no competition quilts as there have been no competitions.     Most of the quilts were from groups who had been running various challenges.

This from a section of blue and white quilts.  First one is Deep Blue Sea.

I snapped the info for this one.

This is from the same section but I don't know any details.  I like it though.

Kantha Hare (not sure that's what it's called, but that's what it is).

Don't know what this one is called, but isn't it striking?

And finally...

Pearl's Haul

Aquamarine pack from Pelenna Patchwork for Gem BOM thingy, black and white fabric for DS1's quilt, a couple of oddments and journal quilt patterns/kits from Hannah's Room, which I really don't need but they were 3 for 2.  I didn't buy the fabric for my Boom quilt, which is what I planned to buy.  My mum, who is a knitter not a sewer, bought some fat quarters to make masks.

If you'd like to see more of the quilts and are on Facebook, White Gecko Craft Lounge did a Facebook Live at the show every morning.  Abbieanne Patchwork & Textiles has a video on YouTube.

Do you have any pics of the quilts, @Bjay ?  Show us your haul.

Have been trying to use stash fabric for the Boom but am beginning to struggle so, inspired by @Iminei ’s choice of green fabric for the emerald block, I wondered how you build a usable stash.  By this I mean having a range of fabrics that you could use for a given project, rather than having to buy.

I have a room full of fabric but never seem to have what I’m looking for.

What do I need to buy?  How much?  What colours?

I joined the Beautiful Batiks club of Hannah’s Room, but only ended up with a range of batiks in colours I’d never choose.

I tried looking for blenders on the destash site, but Facebook seems to think I want to make smoothies.

Please help!

A Good Yarn / Alternative to mitred square blanket
« on: May 02, 2021, 14:25:07 PM »
I previously made a mitred square blanket for DD and am toying with the idea of knitting another.  DD’s is random and I’d like to make one that is less so.  I wondered if anyone knew of something that is similar.  Would love it if it looked like a quilt pattern.  I’ve seen one that looks like a shadow quilt and another that looks like a half log cabin.  TIA

Does anyone buy wadding in bulk? Can you recommend a supplier?   I have a gazillion quilts ready to be sandwiched in my quest to finish something.  TIA

I wondered if anyone has used this product and if you would recommend it.  I watched a lady using it to make templates for quilting designs.

Last year, I had a disaster.  To rectify it, I need some white fabric with a black pattern.  I have spots but can't find anything else on line.

Please does anyone have any that they would be prepared to sell to me?  I need a variety so anything bigger than 5" square would be great.

TIA

Please excuse this terrible photo.  No one else is up yet so I had to take it myself.

It has a pretty edge.

A Good Yarn / Exotic Burst Cowl by Dolly Bhardwaj
« on: October 16, 2020, 08:40:59 AM »
My mum asked me to get this pattern for her from Ravelry and when I saw it, I thought I’d have a go.  It is a good way to use up oddments of wool.  I think I’ve got enough for 50 cowls.

Plenty of ends to sew in.   :scream:

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / Help! Colour run disaster
« on: September 28, 2020, 14:18:01 PM »
I washed DS1's quilt with a gazillion colour catchers.  One of the fabrics has turned pink wherever it occurs in the quilt.  Help! What do I do?

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / WIP storage
« on: August 29, 2020, 12:20:27 PM »
I have several many WIP (works in progress) in bags for life (handy for taking to sewing group/class), zippy wallets and carrier bags.  They take up most of the floor space in my sewing space.

I wondered if you could advise me of a better way to store them. I’m wondering about plastic project boxes.

For Sale, Wanted & Free to a good home / Wanted - Alison Glass fabric
« on: August 20, 2020, 21:26:54 PM »
WANTED Fat Quarter Alison Glass sun prints light 2019 smoke Andover fabric makower.

I am using this fabric as the background for the BOM but DD likes it and wants it to be included in the quilt that I am going to make for her when (if) I finish this one.  Please does anyone have any that they would be prepared to sell, as I am unable to find it online?

TIA   :gin:
