Am I off the hook as you haven't put me on the list? :)
@Sakar .... Whhhaaaaaa???? When did this happen ??? Toddling ?? already??? YAY!
I'm not going to do this because I'm going to finish 3 UFOs before I start anything new. Here are the fabrics which I would use if I was going to join in, but I'm not. ;)
I've started cutting out. 0_0@wrenkins that is absolutely brilliant It never crossed my mind to prep like that for this. The nice part of always having access to the weather data online is you can wait on starting if you don"t have a plan or fabrics yet.
I have little ziplock bags labelled with the temperature ranges and some pieces in.
The beauty of this one is that we really could leave it until September before we start it. 0_0
@Sakar which two cities?
Anyone doing monochrome?!?!?!?!
...minus 3, minus 2 and yesterday minus 5!!!!! These are all recorded around 6 am.
I'll have to get some very very very pale blue/greys !
the HSR's have turned out to be 3 3/4 x 6 1/2 unfinished
I have a dilemma :S
Do I do temps here...there... both....neither :D???????
I think that makes them half(half square rectangle)triangles. so H(HSR)Ts.
Ummm. :o
If I start it now (ish), and have all the fabrics...then I won't give up half way. I've thought of going out on a jolly to Cotton Patch. They'd have a good selection. I know it's in Birmingham somewhere but I'm not sure how easy it is to get to.

@Sakar ...which fabric??? The Spraytime rainbow you bought when you were last here???
Spraytime is widely available ... but there are many many colours within the range and no way to differentiate them without a swatch.
@Pearl I'd have to get there using :S public transport :S
It's easy enough for me to get into Birmingham...I use the Metro, but I'd have to plan the journey getting out of the city by bus. I assume there must be a bus service down that way.
Sandra.

(dya see what I did there Gals ??? 0_0 )
Pics Please Pearl !!!
I think it's because on the colder days the fabric contracts...@Acorn (https://www.quiltfriend.de/images/smilies/rotflol.gif) (https://www.quiltfriend.de/images/smilies/rotflol.gif) (https://www.quiltfriend.de/images/smilies/rotflol.gif) (https://www.quiltfriend.de/images/smilies/rotflol.gif)

It is a year long project by its very nature and I do not expect necessarily to see results until the beginning of 20210.
I like your big safety pin Sandra.
@fajita my numbers go left to right I'm putting January on top and just wanted to check that was ok
Yes. I've got the colours sorted up to 32...and today I might need as high as 33 degrees. :S
Is that all? 37-38 degrees here today.
I laid out my 8 months worth on the bed yesterday and was shocked by how big they were?
I laid them out 3 across and they were already almost the length of the bed !!!
When I laid them out 4 across, they made a very generous drop off the sides of bed
Each one measures 23 1/2" across by 31" down and I wonder if Ive radically miscalculated ( @BrendaP )
Ive got 4 more months to do!
But if all the seams are exactly the same they should still match ... Surely Shirley ??!!! :S
and as the gap between the sewn seam (using my scant 1/2" seam cos I know my seams are off) and the points is a quarter of an inch (as seen by the 1/4" black bias tape fitting perfectly) that means I need to sew 1/2" seam ish. :o
December will beeee ......
The last one, in 2014???
So now Im completely jealous of you!
Was it as wonderful as everyone said?
I love 50 words for snow too ... should we start a KB thread?? hahahhaa
If you have five bedrooms ...you need five quilts. Plus a sofa quilt. Plus a quilt to put over you when taking tea on the terrace at dusk in the summer ....@Lowena And you will need some spares for when those are in the wash... (yes, quilts are washable ;))
My neice Lucia lives in Bolzano Italy and they've been locked down for 6 weeks and it means lockdown. They cant go out without a permission slip ... seriously ... the the police are not frightened about enforcing it.....
FOQ is still not giving up the thought of going ahead this year, no announcements up on their website ... but I think its unlikely.
It is with great regret that Upper Street Events has taken the decision that, as a result of the ongoing situation with Covid-19, it is not going to be possible to host this year’s Festival of Quilts (30 July – 2 Aug, NEC Birmingham).
Lovely @Sandra I'm surprised more quilts haven't been finished with all the extra time at home we've had. Come on you laggards....I finished mine in January  :P
Looking forward to seeing it in person at next year's Festival of Quilts. ;)
The hexagon template is 3/4 inches, the entire block... I don't know, I have to iron it first
