Title: Hello from beautiful Kent UK
Post by: Cazlyn on June 22, 2021, 06:42:40 AM: Hi fellow fabric lovers I’m Cazlyn from Kent. I’m 50 something and have been sewing on and off since I started using my Mum’s manual Singer to make Sindy clothes at the age of about 8. I’m really good at starting projects but not so good at finishing them. I have taken evening classes in curtain making and also dressmaking which I really enjoyed but my confidence in my abilities is not very high so I’m almost never satisfied with what I make. I really want to make clothes for myself that fit, I always have to do a full bust adjustment and find that quite difficult. Hoping to get lots of encouragement and knowledge from you fellow sewists. :)

Help and encouragement in abundance here, and so many talented sewers and great enablers! Most of us have doubts about what we make, but with every project we get better and learn new techniques.

I think dressmakers particularly are critical of their makes and always striving for perfection. Just look at your RTW clothes for a reality check concerning fit. I bet yours are better! :)

I'm sure you'll enjoy TSP - everyone is friendly and there's an awful lot of useful information floating around. :)
