@RachelB What about this blouse pattern? On eBay and it is in USA

Good spot! Close enough to do the job in all the main areas.

Rather than the peplum, I think the style of the sleeves and especially the shoulders make the example jacket a little different. They appear to me to be either raglan or very set in. A peplum isn't that hard to add in, whereas replicating the cut of the shoulders and sleeve heads would be more tricky.

I had a look through my old Burda magazines and I think this is probably quite close for the style of the princess seams on the body and the Victorian-style puffy sleeve heads. It wouldn't be hard to crop it and add a peplum at the waist, or to scoop the neckline out a bit.

Which coverstitch machine do you have @dolcevita?
It's a Janome coverpro 1000.

A friend has said that the Bernina coverstitch is wonderful, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to pay so much for such a specialized machine. I may well change my mind once I've had a go on it, so we shall see.

It’s a great machine @dolcevita

It's more than I can say for my coverstitch. My love/hate relationship with it continues; I just don't hate it quite enough to get rid of it. Yet.

Perhaps it might be worth trying to persuade them to stock another fusible interfacing? Woven fusible is a very different beast to the old vilene/fliesline stuff that used to be the only show in town. Using modern fusibles is a revelation and makes a huge difference to projects.

It's a few years old now, but I have a Bernina 800DL. It's had plenty of use and it's been great. Dead easy to thread, doesn't throw tantrums and is very reliable.

Fusibles normally have washing instructions with them (the roll/package) and the shop itself should be able to advise whether you can launder the interfacing or not. I haven't come across paper interfacing before, it would be interesting to know what it is.

A quick google came up with paper-backed interfacing - could they mean this?

I love knitting socks. They're just about my favourite thing ever to knit! The only thing better is wearing hand knitted socks.

I'm in the same fan club as @Ohsewsimple - love a bit of understitching. A greatly underestimated method to make the damn things do as they're damn well told. We are still talking about fabric aren't we?

Be brave!

Satin is perfectly pressable, you just need to do a test sample or two to find the optimum temperature for it. It's also better if you press each seam in stages. For instance, with the top of the bodice/facing seam, first press it open from the wrong side to get it half way flat, then press it fully back from the right side. A press cloth will be your friend here, particularly one of silk organza. Silk organza lets you put more heat into it without scorching the fabric and see what you're doing.

FWIW, I wouldn't have faced it with cotton, I'd have used self fabric. It just needs a bit of perseverance with pressing the seams into submission.
