Those are useful tops and you've made them interesting with the lace inserts. Well done!!  :thumb:

I like the look of that pattern but realistically I'll never make it so I'll admire your make instead. The fabric is interesting as well.  :thumb:

I didn't think there was a pattern to match on it @Bjay. Shows how we can be taken by surprise!!

My last two projects have been from stash but I succumbed at the Sewing show I went to at the NEC and then again at Malvern Quilt show so I'm probably at the same stage I was before!! I haven't been keeping a record so it is all a guesstimate at the moment.
The new fabric was worth it though!! Much better than my stash stuff  0_0

Not my style at all  ><
I quite agree with your comments @Iminei

One down, one to go. The second one is cut out but heat in the sewing loft has got the better of me. Hopefully it will be finished......  :P

Nothing to contribute on the machine side but just to say the answer to your thread question seems to be - Cornwall!!

Those look good enough to be a quilt on their own like that!! Love the colours.  :thumb:

@kowgiirl.up I've made this pattern a few times for my son. It made up very well and was quite a straight forward pattern. I know I had to adapt it to fit but I can't remember exactly what I did now. It was easier to fit him than a woman though!!

Patterns Discussion / Re: Pattern for Golf Skort Needed
« on: June 16, 2022, 17:02:38 PM »
Years ago I made my granddaughter a skort just by making her a pair of shorts and a skirt and letting them have a common waistband. Can't remember how I fastened them now - it's too long ago and my memory isn't that good!!  :P

I changed a single yoke to a double on the last trial blouse I made. Quite easy to do but I had to add the front facings first so that when I burritoed it the facings were enclosed in the yoke seams. It was very neat on the inside and I didn't need the back facing. Looks a good pattern, I too like Style patterns and have a few old ones still in my repetoire.

That looks a lovely useful dress @anni - smart enough for going out but casual enough to be for everyday.  You must be pleased with it.  :thumb:
