My other half suggested I could make up a bunch and number them 1 to 25 and sell them as a christmas advent baggy thing. Each bag could be hung on the tree containing treats etc for the kids. They could be reused year after year. No idea how feasible that is but one seller on etsy has sold over 3500 dinky little drawstring bags. Build it and they will come sort of thinking.

Good mornin'.
Grey and 'orrible outside today but I'm in a perky mood for once.
I'm thinking of making up a bunch of little drawstring bags and advertising them to see if they sell before committing to the idea of making millions from them. But first, shave and shower. No other plans for today...all the housework has been done  :D
Hugs to anyone needing them. xx

I have a stupid idea to make and sell dinky little draw string bags to make a few pennies.
Not as easy to make as I thought, almost resulting in me killing my sewing machine with a thread ripper this morning  :\
However, after mucho swearing and cursing it, I achieved success!
I even timed myself to see how quick I could make them. 3 per hour. Yup. No danger of any speed records being broken here
Anyhoo, here they are.

Loads of fancy stuff- adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist, heated seats

I don't know whether to be impressed that it's there or terrified that it's needed!

Pam and I named her car. Vicky the Vauxhall. It was easier to say than Zelda the Zafira. Although if I'd had my way, it would've been Rachael the wreck. It's ugly. Runs well-ish though.
The current NV1800Q hasn't been named but the old A150 was named Matt because it was a brother and my real brother is named funnily enough...Matt. I called it a few other names while I had it but I dare not share those

I'm up, shaved and showered and got the new tinterweb contract done.
Yesterday was dark, grey and miserable. Today it's dark, grey, miserable and wet, making it even more miserable. I've got to walk to the shop for some bread and I'll get wet and then I'll be really miserable. Even the mutt looks miserable.
@Sandra has a new machine?  :o
And she didn't tell us??
Why not???

I'm on my 2nd brother machine. They're brilliant. Especially the needle threader. It's a work of art. And they're soooooooo quiet!
Enjoy it :)

Barely a year into sewing and even I know that  :scream: :scream: :scream:

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
Damp, grey and miserable here. There's even an eerie mist on the moors.
I've not managed to get the tent up in the back garden yet as there's been a ton of h*******k lately.
The dryer has been fixed. The amount of fluff pulled out from its inard's would have given my sewing machine a heart attack if it had seen it. I'm guessing the previous owners weren't too bothered about maintaining it.
So far this week I've shortened 2 of Pam's auntie Kelly's dresses and a new pair of jeans for me. She (auntie Kelly) has asked me to make her an oval table cloth so we'll pop down there sometime next week when Pam's not working. Auntie Kelly is the nice lady who lent me the money for my sewing machine so I'd do anything for her.
Today's plans...
Well I've got the chicken in the slow cooker for tonight's dinner and as much as I'd like to sit down and sew something, I'm all out of idea's for things to make. So, doggie walk first then whatever comes up after that.
Get well wishes to @Silver Rose and @Diane 's mil.
Happy wishes to the rest of you xx

Maybe it's my eyes @Sandra but that black casing wire looks like it hadn't been clamped inside the plug. Dangerous.
If it wasn't you who wired it, give whoever did wire it a bloody good slap!
Please watch this YouTube vid for how to do it correctly

Anyhoo, yesterday I made it to the cafe to meet with Pam. I was so knackered when I got there that the bike was shoved into the back of the car for the trip home.
Having recovered, I set to tackle the front garden which is very uneven and slopes quite steeply. It's a bodge but it got the job done. Then I did some laundry. Oddly, I felt OK yesterday  :D
Today's plans....
Well, I've a repair man comping out to look at the dryer. It's been pouring out so much condensation that a damp problem is developing on the wall. And we'll, that's it really. I might camp out in the garden tonight. I miss camping.
Hope you all have a great day, especially our fearless leader @Iminei xx

Morning all. I'm still in bed and still yawning.
I mowed the jungle back garden the other day which caused a hypo, no surprise there and did some laundry yesterday which caused another hypo.  :faints:
Today's plans.........gonna meet Pam at the cafe for a sammich or something. She's on her 2nd day working at primark on early shift so will be nice to hear how that's going.
Looking forward to the ride there. 7 miles of blissful traffic free bike trail once I'm out of Bolton  :D Better get out of bed and check the tyres.
Hope you all have a great day xx
