You’d be surprised at the number that don’t.  When I was selling machines we would organise a lesson as well.  Some people wouldn’t get it out of the box till we’d done that.  Or they had to 'get hubby to open it and set it up'.     More than DH's life is worth to touch my machines!  Even going in my room is fraught with danger!
I know this thread is past it's sell by date
Sister in law purchased a new machine last week!
Big Bro informs me the box arrived...
She told him to wrap it up for her for her Christmas present  :scream:
I am related to someone that didn't, and has no intention of, opening the box  :headbang:
Going back to the corner now

Have a wonderful day

I have boshed together a 'pattern', I use the term loosely because it is more to make sure I don't make them too small than anything else
I think I will go for the dressing gowns first as they are less fitted (not that pyjamas are fitted, but there is more work involved I suppose).
I had a conversation with the Mother yesterday as she informed me the hardest part of the dressing gown would be the neckline, I am still thinking 'what neckline'.  Does she mean the front opening?  I assume she wasn't listening when I mentioned the hood (nothing new there) so thinks I am doing some kind of collar thingy.
Or am I forgetting something?
Never mind, I am sure I will realise if I have left something out of my preplanning thoughts

@Lowena My lovely Big Bro does the eyebrow lift at me for naming things (as does his wife lol ).  It obviously isn't all a family trait

Ready for a day of actually doing something!  Just sent a CV off for a job, my dream job, won't get it but if I didn't apply i would always wonder
Drinking coffee at the moment, waiting for DH to come downstairs, then I will move upstairs!
Got kids measurements at the ready, going to start the Xmas PJ's  :D
@Diane Keep trying, hospitals are awful for getting information from but you will get there in the end
:grouphug: to all that want one

@Lowena GS asked me why I gave my sewing machines names. I asked him if his toys had names and of course they did!
'Well these are my toys, so they have names'
He couldn't argue with my logic

Morning all
Bit of a thick head this morning as met Big Bro down the pub for a proper night out, we sat inside, there was a band!
He just text me, he has a thick head too  Half was through the evening I calculated I had the total of 7 hours sleep from Thursday morning to bed last night so I think I need a day of rest.
However, we are going to the Mothers later. She appears undecided on whether she has or hasn't lost her debit card, she keeps telling me she found it, then says she hasn't.
Then back home for a restful evening in
Have a lovely day

Good morning all
Another not so good night at work, on my own rather than with someone else!  Not sure why I can't get paid double if doing double the work  :\ Up too early, couldn't sleep, so may go shopping with DH.
Big  from me to you @Silver Rose

BFF talked oop t'north and offered to drive.  That would mean a visit to Immanuels and Abakhan and I feel the excitement may be too much for me at the moment :D

Got home around 8.30 this morning and got straight into bed after a rough night at work.  One of the residents was having a meltdown and nothing was calm until 5.30 and the next round of getting them up again begins at 6.00  :headbang:
Crawled out of bed at 1 and sitting here in dressing gown unable to build up any mojo, back in again tonight so hopefully things will be a bit calmer.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone

This is the pattern I immediately knew I had when bride showed me the pic of what she wanted!
Vogue dress pattern
The only difference being the short sleeves as she wants sleeveless.
I may even venture down the route of an integral corset.
Of course, at this point, she may change her  mind as the wedding is in June, so nothing committed yet.
