Glad to hear you are doing well @Silver Rose . Sorry to hear about your MiL @Diane . Hope she makes a good recovery.

Went to see DS today but can't see our twin grandsons yet as the hospital understandably only lets Dads visit. They will be in for a while yet as they arrived a few weeks early but they are doing well.

It was good to see DS though and bring him lots of stuff.

Good to hear some of you went to the quilt show today. I'm contemplating the Knitting and Stitch Show in Harrogate in November. If I go I'll wear my TSP badge.

Hope you get well soon @Silver Rose .
Bought an oil filled radiator for DS today just in case they need it for when the twins come home. We are bombarded with baby photos - which of course is lovely!

Coatigan with llamas @Flobear ? Now you're talking!

(Spell checker determined to turn coatigan into Corrigan)

I have some ideas but I'll need to get cracking. I think it's going to be waterfall jacket, blouse and trousers. I've started the blouse but it is a plaid fabric with some, ahem, challenging pattern matching so I'll just have to see whether it ends up looking ok or whether it's a dog's breakfast! If it's the latter I'll do a quick change to a plain fabric. Hope to post some pleminary pictures on Monday.

@Sandra and @b15erk hope your family members are all better soon.
@hernibs a poignant day for you. Thinking of you today.
Hope those who have had jab reactions feel better soon. I had no reaction to my covid booster and only a tender arm for a few days with the flu jab.
Had a long walk today and met up with some of our dancing group. It was nice weather and good to catch up. No sewing today but I did manage to order some lining fabrics at £1 pm from the Immanuel's FB page (aka temptation personified).

Thank you @Pearl@Elnnina  your DGS sounds lovely - a true 'box of delights'. So many stories of traumatic births so it is good to hear of a child growing up and thriving. Hope your DD is thriving too.

Thanks @maliw and @Greybird . Gogga? I'll think about that one!

Thank you for all your congratulations and kind words you lovely people.

I have left the door to the granny shed open for you @fajita and there's a seat for you here. That's a good point @Bjay   - we shall need to negotiate names with the other grandparents. Good to hear your GS is doing so well. Lovely to hear that you have such a good relationship with you GS @Elnnina .

Much excitement in the family as DDiL has just had twin boys so she and DS are parents now! They arrived on Tuesday night. They are a few weeks early and so will be in hospital for a while but they are breathing on their own and doing well as is Mum. Grandpa Tamny and I can't go into the hospital to see them at the mo so we will have to wait until they are home. We have seen photos of them and they look just perfectly lovely. We will go over to DS at the weekend with some presents for everyone. I know many of you here are grandparents and I'm glad to be joining your club!

There is a maternity version of Naomi on Instagram if you want to take a look @Starryfish. I have a copy of Hope too @Helen M . Looks nice too and lots of other people have made it.

At various times I have found other Stylearc discount codes which I presume one can use and may work along with this code. It's worth trying GET20 and SEWITYOURWAY20 . I've seen both of these on pop up ads fairly recently. Don't forget your freebie pattern. Patternsy does a good quick printing service for £5 per Stylearc pattern (assuming 2 A0 sized pattern sheets).

Lovely top @Lemon Syllabub . Ah yes I wondered how long the magazines would take to arrive! It shouldn't be any worse than getting stuff from the US although that can take an age.too. I'll just have to sit it out. The patterns are nice though and a  change from the more complex Vogue patterns I often sew.

Had a lovely though quite long walk (10 miles round trip)along the canal and dropped into a pub by the canal for an impromptu lunch. Had everything we like - outside seating and brisk, friendly service. I did something I've never done before I ordered a 'Senior's Sunday roast'! I offered to show the waitress my bus pass as proof but apparently this wasn't necessary.  Well that was very nice - a decent portion but not the enormously gut busting plateful you would normally get so I'll be back. Too tired for sewing now!
Just watching Joanna Lumley on TV visiting the Harris Tweed guy in Luskentyre on Harris. Love that place and the Tweed.
