I slept well again last night although I did wake briefly on a couple of occasions to the sound of the wind through the trees outside.  :S
It feels quite warm today.

Don't have a lot of sewing to do today. Just the jacket with the ribbing to tighten. Still haven't decided what will be best. I'm going to have to make a decision today because he's going to collect it this afternoon.

Ex popped in yesterday to see Gertie, and I needed to speak to him about housey stuff. He was the pleasant and funny version of himself yesterday.  I'll be glad when I don't have to bother with him any more.

Have you ever slept so deeply and soundly that you wake up in exactly the same position you went to sleep in, and wonder if you've shifted position at all in the previous 8 hours?
My left ear felt stuck to my head this morning.  0_0

It's a bit gloomy but it's dry. Haven't checked the weather forecast yet but I don't plan to go anywhere so it doesn't really matter what the weather does today.

Menswear shop dropped off a few items yesterday...four pairs of trousers, and a jacket which needs to lose about 6 inches out of the ribbing.  :S The customer has a bit of a belly and the back of the jacket hangs loose on him.
Dry Cleaner due shortly (probably). He's got nothing to collect from me so I won't see him if he's got nothing to bring.

Had a bad night and slept on and off all night.  |O
I've discovered an area of damp on the bathroom floor coming from the toilet cistern, so last night I had several dreams of huge floods of water on the bathroom floor which kept waking me up in a panic.

Feel too hot this morning and I'm tired, but I've only got one pair of trousers to shorten today so they won't take very long to do.

It looks very pleasant out with blue sky and a bit of sunshine. It's a bit damp. Don't know if we must have had some rain in the night.

I still feel a bit bleurgh but no worse than yesterday.
I was dithering last night when I was watching Strictly, yet I was wearing multiple layers and covered in a big blanket.

Woke this morning to a beautiful golden glow showing through the curtains. A gorgeous orangey sky, but you know what they say about red sky in the morning  :S yes. It's been drizzly. Don't know how much worse it's going to get.

Could do with going shopping. We're low on food items but can't see myself walking all the way up to Asda today.

That's good news about your MIL @Diane  :)

Still sniffly and sneezy but I'm faring better than poor Imi. I'll wait and see if I can say the same for tomorrow.  :S

The video call to Mum wasn't as lovely as I'd/we'd hoped. It was difficult to get through to someone who knew what they were doing (can you call back in half an hour/ can you call back in ten minutes/can you call back in five minutes) and when we did get through, Mum was confused and distracted.
Dad couldn't hear her and kept saying so which meant we couldn't hear what she was saying either. It was a messy call.

The good news is that she looked really well.

Sniff.  :(

Sniff. Sniff....Aaaaaaarrrr CHOO!!

Bornin' everyone.  0_0

I'm feeling a bit rough this morning. Had a restless night, feeling achy and snuffly.
I've been home alone. Son's with his girlfriend. Daughter's out with friends. Daughter will return some time later today.

I have no work, which I'm pleased about. I really don't feel that I can be bothered today.

Mmmmm.... :loveit: Posh croissants. I'll be thinking of them all day now.

Slept better last night but I think I'm coming down with a cold. I've had a terribly sore throat all night. Daughter's had a heavy cold this week so I'm blaming her.

It's dry this morning and very still. No sign of any sun.

I'm down to the final pair of trousers to shorten today.  :) Dry Cleaner due. He only brought me one item on Tuesday.
Dad due this morning.
Niece phoned yesterday. Covid is still present in the care home. Another member of staff's come down with it.  :boohoo: so still no visits allowed. It's been 5 weeks since we saw Mum in person.
Niece is going to arrange a video call to Mum on Saturday and she'll collect Dad so we can all take part.  :)

I'm starting to flag now after my early start this morning.  |O

I've managed to get 6 pairs of trousers finished and the other four pairs are all at least half-done.  I can feel an achy knot in my back but I think I'm going to carry on for a bit longer. If I sit and get too comfortable, I'll start to nod off.

I've felt chilly today. Cold hands and cold feet but it's been lovely and bright. The sun's still out here.

Good morning.
I've been awake for over two hours listening to the weather. It's WINDY  :S out there.
My sons bedroom door was making occasional clonking noises due to the wind, until he finally got out of bed and jammed the door somehow. I listened to that for a while and then I decided to start worrying and over-thinking about stuff, so here I am.  ><
The good news is that I should sleep well tonight.  :\

I've got 10 pairs of trousers to shorten today, thanks to the menswear shop. It's okay. They're not all needed to be collected today.
They're all black or very dark navy blue so I'll need my amazing little daylight lamp to help me to see what I'm doing when I'm hemming them back up.

Need more tea  :drink: before I do anything.

@Lowena

I simply googled how to get one and found a link to click through an NHS site. I think my daughter has a virtual one in her phone but I have a real live letter.  0_0 It arrived in just a few days.

I'm attending a concert next month and want to make sure I get in with no hassle. I don't think the little card you're given when you get the jab is considered true proof of having had both jabs.  :)

@justpottering  Utility bills!? It's a pain in the ar$e isn't it? They're asking for them to be dated within the last three months, and as you say, they're all online now.

I've never bothered with a new style driving licence. I don't drive so I don't see the point.
Don't they get cross checked against your passport image? Or else you need to go through the rigmarole of having someone countersign to verify your photo.

I think I'll be okay with the documents I'm supplying.
I've got my Covid pass which arrived in the post this week. I'm going to try that with a couple of other things.
It's official.  -< It's come via my NHS number, linked through my medical records. It's got my name, date of birth and address on it.
I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

@BrendaP  I'm divorced so the marriage certificate was handed over to the solicitor when I started divorce proceedings... 'never to be seen again'... and I don't have a copy.

I'll wait and see if there's going to be a problem. I know I can order a copy of the marriage cert but hope I won't have to. I've been perfectly happy to never have to see it again.  0_0

It's a dreadful morning here and I woke a few times in the night to the sound of the rain.  :S Managed to get back off to sleep okay though.

I have no sewing work to do today so I'll find out all the paperwork I need for the house sale stuff. I have no photographic ID but I've been asked to provide my birth cert instead. Don't know if that'll cause a problem because it's got my real name on and not my currently used, former married name.

Dark, damp and gloomy with rain forecast for the entire day (according to BBC online weather, which often gets it completely wrong).
Slept well last night.

I've been outside to top up the bird food on the bird table. It feels really warm out there.

I've got lots of trousers to shorten from the menswear shop for a regular customer who tends to buy about 10 pairs at a time. ££££
Dry Cleaner due this morning. No idea what to expect from him. Could be a lot or it could be nothing at all.
