I'm hoping to go along. I don't think I want anything to buy as I bought a fair bit in May but I'll go to see the quilts and view the stalls. If previous years are anything to go by it will be all Christmassy!!  :P

I cut out the jacket. I'm not sure how good it'll be as I found some errors in my tracing  :embarrassed: Hey ho, it'll be what it will be.
The fabric frays like anything but it feels gorgeous. I bought 3 x 1m lengths from an end of run at a designer shop. I've got plenty for this design and I've had it in my personal resource centre for at least 6 years so it's about time it was used up. If it doesn't work all I've lost is £10 and a bit of my time.
I'll just find out some thread, set up my machines and I'll be good to start sewing. Perhaps tomorrow.

I remember many years ago walking round a reputedly high end clothing shop with my two besties,  I began examining seam finishes etc. I didn't say anything but my friends were in hysterics - apparently my face said it all!!

Well, I've made the jeans and I'm having a go at a new to me pattern for an easy throw on jacket. Only time will tell if it works out.

I've traced out my jacket pattern and added seam allowance.  I've shortened the sleeves 2" (T-rex arms here  ;) ).  I've also rounded off the hood as it went to a point and I'm not keen on that. And I've extended the rather measly pocket to make a deep and roomy one.
More details of the pattern on my diary thread.
Deciding whether to toille it or just jump in gung ho 'cus it's only a loose fitting throw on type of jacket. Pondering  ::thinks::

 I did a test sewing of another ITH project but didn't quite like it so didn't finish it. So then I tidied and sorted out ready for my next project. The decks were cleared and I got out the jeans I cut out ages ago. I rethreaded the machines and away I went - or not. First two seams had to be ripped out and redone, next the overlocker seam bunched up and went wrong.... I gave up, switched everything off and came to write this. Obviously not a day for sewing. Sigh.

Not a quilt like the quilting purists do but I'm embroidering blocks which will be sewn together to make a quilt for my granddaughter for Christmas/birthday (Her birthday is January 7th and so close to Christmas that it is difficult to get two major presents. This is such a mammoth project it will have to do for both!!)
I'll be updating my diary thread when I eventually get round to doing something!!
