I'm hoping to work some more on my zip fly trousers, they need a waistband now!

Lovely!
Have you got any flattish ankle boots, so you can be comfortable and still wear the dress?

I really love my Mountain View Jeans. My favourites are the blue denim with gold top stitching.
I wear them a lot.

Philippa Naylor strikes me as creative style dresser, reminds me a little of Vivienne Westwood, and looks like she'd be great fun!
She's wearing gloves as she touches the old fabrics, which shows respect for them.
And the interesting style she has chosen to wear demonstrates to me her interest in clothes of all different eras, makes her ideal :-)

I'll run the dehumidifier in the Sewing room later.

I'd been looking in Wilkos at a plastic three drawer storage unit to tuck under the sewing table.

Then it dawned on me that the existing 4 drawer one (which was blocking the bookcase, and was about to go back in the garage) was modular, got DH to help me and we pulled the top layer off and popped the top back on so its now a three drawer unit. I tucked it neatly under the table and filled it up with all my overlocker cones and embroidery thread.

Really pleased with that, all the thread is together now as normal sized reels are in the adjacent drawer unit.

Good progress on my Art folder thingy, will try to add some cardboard panels to stiffen it a little.

I have a sudden urge to make myself a folder to hold the A3 paper I use on my drawing board for calligraphy and etc.

I found one online which isn't quite what I'm looking for but I could adapt the principle used to make my own.
The stiffness comes from cardboard inserted into the front and back panels.

Its definitely an accessory!

How are the accessory plans coming along?

I'm planning some more fleece socks, this time in navy blue!
I tend to have cold feet, so in the winter wear the fleece socks over the normal socks and inside my slipper boots for toasty feet.

I have found the design was a Dunelm own called Botanical Meadow. The range also included blinds, bedding and bathroom items and came out in Spring Summer 2018.
So hopefully there is some lurking in second hand land.

Sewing Spaces and Furniture / Sewing room curtains and other things

In the new house my sewing room didn't have a curtain pole just a net curtain on a wire.
So I bought a push fit pole from Wilkos, and took the only pair of old curtains which had those rings in the top, shortened them to fit and all was fine.

Yesterday I realised the bottom of one curtain had black mould and it was all a bit yukky.  So I washed the net curtain and the curtains (at 30 degrees C gentle cycle) and cleaned the window and windowsill, treating it with an anti mould spray.

The net dried very quickly so I put that back up yesterday. The curtains air dried on the drying racks and I ironed them today and rehung them.
The curtain fronts (cotton) have shrunk slightly in length and width whilst the linings (polyester) have not. And the black mould stain is still slightly visible.

I need the privacy from the neighbours so the curtains are back up with the push fit pole dropped slightly so the curtains are near to the windowsill. Its OK for now.

When it warms up a bit I'll raid the curtains bag in the garage to see what else I have. I have successfully added tabs on the back of a curtain so it can slide along a pole without hooks (across the front door), so would probably do something similar to some plain cream curtains.

My absolute dream would be to find some (second hand) curtains which match the cushions I made for the futon (from a single curtain I had at the landing window in the old house) but that seems fairly unlikely, though I'll keep an eye out in the local charity shops in hope!
