Mine will probably be about 40” square @Lowena . I suppose we could just send them individually to the local PL, with a note saying that the quilt was made as part of the TSP sew-along. We would also, of course, send a photo to @Iminei so she could do her photo page !  :D

Oh yes, we need @Ploshkin wee lamb pictures!  :loveit:

Thanks @Iminei , good idea! Will keep this in mind once I finish my 2 current things. Still working on Project Linus , so cant post pictures but also started a scrap quilt just for something to do. Will photos of it once I have made more progress. :D

Don’t worry @Lisalou . I am looking forward to receiving it and will post a picture as soon as I get it. I think the mail is a bit slower than normal. It’ll be here for the clocks changing!  :D

Lovely @maliw , I do love a scrap quilt. You do feel quite virtuous turning what could have gone to landfill into something beautiful and to me it’s in keeping with the origins of quilting.

Yes, we are all lucky to have a creative hobby we can do from home @maliw . I’m also making a scrap quilt. I was thinking of offering to make / knit for friends, if they’ve maybe got a family baby due or want a birthday gift. :)

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / Re: String piecing

Ooh, that looks like a good idea for scraps. What’s the idea of the paper? Is it just to keep the whole long strip straight? I’m making some blocks out of scraps at the moment as my scrap box was bulging and overflowing and there was so much in it that I couldn’t find anything. Maybe I could make this with the long thin bits. Thanks @Lilian........but why were you on another quilting board....is that allowed?! ;) 0_0

I agree with the others @coffeeandcake . It’s a lot of unpicking, but if you replace the purple floral blocks with a neutral plain-ish fabric,it will look lovely. :D

Thank you @Sandra for letting me know that they arrived. I’m pleasantly surprised by how quickly Royal Mail delivered them, compared to a certain parcel sent to the Deep South in December! I also forgot to take a photo, so I’ll keep your photo. I was just trying to get as many Spring themed fabrics included as I could and because I make so many baby quilts I had quite a few.
@Iminei - the word is ‘peep’  : it’s the sound little chicks make! :D

Ooh, @Lilian, that is so perfect and beautiful- I’m envious!

Posted mine in the local box today. It’ll not be picked up until the morning, so will hopefully be at its destination about Tuesday or Wednesday. :flower:

Finished mine a couple of weeks ago, so it’s in its little bag, just waiting for the Spring equinox- and hopefully some warmer weather too!

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / Re: Linus quilt

I don’t think we’ve followed their pattern suggestions in past years @Lowena . We do our own TSP thing :D
I have made all my blocks, but haven’t put them together. I still need to decide on the backing. Do they like fleece, I wonder. If the quilt works out as I’ve planned, I’m thinking of making another the same to give to a friend. Mine will be about 40” square, but I think they take various sizes.
