I can't see them being worth that unless you are doing a lot of multiple hooping such as on quilts, and repeatedly doing it. £200 is a lot of time that needs to be saved to justify the purchase.

I bought the DIME Snap Hoop Monster for my Bernina back in January. It was $219.99 plus postage from the USA of $57.95, which totalled £227.24 - a lot of money. I bought the 16" x 10" which is huge. However, in my opinion, it was worth paying that because I used it to quilt an all-over design which I would never have been able to do with a traditional hoop. It would've taken me weeks, but equally I would've thrown it out of the window before I'd finished it. :S The equivalent size Bernina hoop is equally expensive but wouldn't do what the DIME hoop does.
It's amazing for using on a quilt BUT I wouldn't use it for traditional embroidery - the fabric moves around too easily for my liking. I'm very lucky that I can keep the DIME hoop just for quilting. I used part of the inheritance I had from my dad to buy it because I know he would've approved. <3
I also suspect the hoop affects the speed of my machine considerably but I haven't had the time (or inclination) to do the tests needed to verify this.
I hope this helps.

Ive seen your quilting for myself and its lovely so its something Im very interested in.
I too would like the longest hoop by a decent block size to get the most out of it ... but needs I think must wait until I reestablish some income
