I am working on a set of place mats right now. Each one has some embroidery- a 23 minute stitch-out time for each place mat. I am making a set of 6.
As my machine is an inexpensive starter, I am wondering if I need to give it a rest after this much time. (It's been going for most of 2 hours.) Will a long run time cause any problems?

Some machines have a icon that pops up saying. “machine needs to rest” does yours have this?

I don’t know. I will check the manual. Thanks.

If your experience is anything like mine you won’t be stitching continuously for that long anyway. You will be stopping to change the thread, fix thread breaks, change broken needle, sort jams and find the bits and pieces you thought were right there. Timing also depends on your speed. I go faster in some parts but slowing down in more dense areas is usually a good plan.
