They have a lot of nice prints in linen/viscose in various % mixes.   ::thinks::

Dunno about that...
I've cut some rather nice curves with the rotary blades. The biggest problems with rotary cutters are the need for a cutting mat and if the ruler slips, the straight line goes out the window.

And that’s why many of us don’t like using rotary cutters for cutting garments.  I'll use it for making bias tape or straight pieces for bags etc.  but I’m not a great fan.  Heard some horror stories.

A Good Yarn / Re: Ploshkin - Weaving Along
« on: March 14, 2024, 20:25:56 PM »
@Ploshkin look forward to seeing these done.
My Danish table and other furniture is beech.  But they also has maple at the time which was even paler.  I love Scandi stuff.  As you say, looks modern even if it’s older.  We’ve had our furniture 25 years I would think and I still love it.

Managed to finish the cardigan I started yesterday.  Think I might put buttons on this one but need it for tomorrow so it will be fine without for the moment.

Of course @Ouryve.  I’m lucky I have a room but sometimes wonder if I should be covering them.  Just too lazy.

My DH would never dream of using my scissors.
@Starryfish i agree.  Cheap scissors are no use in decent fabric.  One of my students bought some from IKEA.    The blades didn’t meet let alone cut!  False economy really.

I thought you were having problems threading the needles @Elnnina
These threaders are bendy.  You shouldn’t need to remove anything to thread them.   ::thinks::
What machine is it?

@Elnnina how about some of these?
https://tinyurl.com/4fzd55u6

Just put your thread in the large eye and then pass the needle right through the eye of the overlocker needle.  I used to use these a lot.

Managed to get to the SR late this afternoon.  Cut out another cardigan.  Got the shoulders sewn, pinned the sleeves in and ran one through the overlocker only to find I had forgotten I’d taken off one of the threads!   :headbang:  Time to call it a day I decided.  I’ll see if I can undo and redo it tomorrow.

That’s very smart @Ouryve.  I’m afraid I don’t cover my machines.  :embarrassed: They’re always out.

I’ve downloaded it to have a look.  I started keeping track of my stash.  But my interest wanes somewhat.  Do I sew or keep a record ::thinks:: ::thinks::   Ooh sewing wins every time!

Sewing Machines / Re: Help please for this singer!
« on: March 07, 2024, 12:38:37 PM »
It all got very confusing with Singer, Husqvarna and Pfaff didn’t it @Celia ?  People thought they were all the same.  My Husqvarna Designer Diamond is not the same standard as my old Husqvarna SE.
And my old Pfaff 7570 was lovely and so easy to change needles due to the amount of space.
