Hi All,

I'm planning to make the skirt from Simplicity 8462 which is a style I really like.
Sim 8462

However, I'm wondering if I should use my hip measurement or my waist one for this skirt to determine size to cut out.
Reason I am asking what you all think is that this pattern has a whopping 20 inches of ease in the hip according to the finished garment measurements.

Any advice will be highly appreciated.
