Title: Village Christmas Wallhanging
Post by: Acorn on December 11, 2019, 13:45:47 PM
I have finished my Village Christmas wallhanging, and it is in place!  The pictures are not very good because I had to use the flash (or they came out dingy) and this means a reflection.  In fact the overall picture shows the pictures as very dark, and they really aren't!  The embroidery is also nicely square, it's the photographer that's wonky!

You can see the other panels here (https://www.emblibrary.com/EL/Products.aspx?Catalog=Emblibrary&ProductID=X4831) - I'm sick of trying to photograph them!

I love those @Acorn. After Paul Horton paintings I think.

Those are great, a clever idea to frame them in your glass door. Do you have a summer set? Spring & autumn? Halloween?   Ok, I'm off!.

They're wonderful Acorn, dare I ask how many stitches per panel??? How long did they take??

Shoo, @Lachica, shoo!  ;)  (Maybe one day!)

@Iminei they're between 50,000 and 55,000 stitches each.  They pretty much took a morning or an afternoon each - my machine loved these patterns and there were almost no thread breakages.

@wrenkins I've just looked at Paul Horton, and they certainly are like his work.  There are a couple of artists around here who paint in a similar fashion too.

Really beautiful Acorn, you are one clever girl and I am sure you enjoyed making these, they are so very different from the normal decorations - shall we all start putting our orders in????
