I’ve started...

That looks - very hard and one of the reasons I shall never venture onto the darkside @Efemera .

I think it will be easy after the last one!

A project like that with lots of different blocks/techniques is a challenge, but you don't get bored! Lots and lots of the same can get repetative.
I am looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

I can testify to that @BrendaP I am currently making a one block quilt for someone. I'm using lots of different batiks . I thought that it would be a quick make but I get bored after doing 4 or 5 blocks at a time
-
Ooooh I look forward to seeing how this one develops. It looks like quite a challenge!

It is looking great! The complete opposite to me in terms of colours and Style but I can appreciate the skill that is going into it

It’s way out of my usual thing @RJR_38 but a change is as good as a rest, I’ve joined some FB groups for American Primitive quilts....there’s some lovely things.
-
I am enjoying your patriotic Americana. ;)

More progress...

It is looking fantastic - bold but understated

Not every pattern is so advanced... There are many easy peasy patterns that you can excecute with simplicity - the quilt that is on my bench awaiting attention uses only half-square triangles.
