I`m looking for some 100% cotton jersey to make some nighties but everything seems to be mixed with lycra. I have bought cotton interlock from Fabworks in the past but it is quite heavy (and stretches like mad). Ideally I want something with a pattern - I`m too inclined to spill my tea to be able to have plain.
I even started looking at RTW nighties on line as I had some good ones from Matalan a few years back but all of their`s are polyester/viscose now, and posher brands are ridiculously expensive

Does it have to be Lycra free...the Lycra will stop it stretching and there will be so much more choice.

I often find when I am looking for jersey that ones labelled organic cotton don't have lycra, elastane etc.
What about My Fabrics - they usually have hundreds to wade through.

Minerva have a few - here (https://www.minervacrafts.com/shop/fabric/dress-fabrics/ph-5713-floral-print-cotton-jersey-dress-fabric-red-per-metre), for example.
You do have to plough through the listings to check which ones are lightweight and 100% cotton though.

I bought some from Fabricland and one was very good and the other was not so good. Calico Laine have a good selection but if you search through the internet there is a lot around.
-
Thanks everyone. @So Chic - Calico Laine looks the best bet so far.
Often if you search "100% cotton jersey" lots of fabric comes up, but when you check the composition it includes elastaine - I`d prefer not to have that in nightwear because I find it too hot"

Tia Knight (http://www.tiaknightfabrics.co.uk/cotton-t10#t97) seem to have a lot of lightweight 100% cotton jersey, and it's cheap!

Doesn't half stretch though!

I'm with you on the 100% cotton for sleepwear @sewingj . Nothing like it for comfort. There's some on eBay looks ok if you search. The lightweight can be thin and stretch but you might consider interlock.
If you're stuck Ive bought 100% cotton jersey PJ's online from M&S.

What about bamboo knit? ( or the drains of East Acton!)

Croft Mill have this one in a few colours https://www.croftmill.co.uk/products/jersey-knitted-fabric/cotton-jersey-material/bib-material-teddy-bear-pyjama-fabric-product.html
Fabworks have a number of organic cotton knits too https://www.fabworks.co.uk/collections/cotton-interlock/products/safe-harbour-navy-organic-cotton-interlock

Have a look at Sainsburys' Tu range. I've got a few pairs of their PJs. They're pure cotton and wash and wear well. At £12 full price (if you wait for the offers you can pay under £10) I certainly feel it's not worth making them.
